LIDL, DUBLIN
We used our lifting gantries to menouvre the panels into place.
Although they don’t anticipate that any vehicles will be driving through the store, the weight of many shoppers and full shopping trolleys could be quite substantial, therefore requiring our highest specification drive on glass.
The new Lidl was built on 11th century Irish-Viking ruins in Dublin. It lies in what is thought to have been a Hiberno-Norse suburb of Dublin.
The Lidl now features a glass window in the floor allowing customers to see the preserved domestic structure below.
The vinyl walkway at the original site of the Windmill Lane studio in Dublin, which is illuminated at night includes U2’s first three albums and was unveiled by musician Moya Brennan of Clannad.

Our glass floor panels were constructed in sections using Armourglass DRIVE® to safely allow members of the public walk over them.
The glass floors have a discreat anti-slip pattern of squares within the glass, which is only visible when close up.
